The Crisis Event tool tracks students who were enrolled, or are eligible for enrollment, but have temporarily or permanently enrolled in another school or district because of a crisis-related disruption in educational services.

Start Date

The date on which the crisis or disaster event began.

End Date

The date on which the crisis or disaster event ended.

Crisis Code

This code is used for students presented at the school for registration who may or may not have documentation due to a disaster or crisis. Disasters may include but are not limited to natural, civil, or health crisis, conflict, or a disaster-induced event.

The values available in the dropdown are located in a locked Attribute Dictionary (System Administration > Custom > Attribute/Dictionary > Crisis Event > Crisis Code).

  • Civil: Civil conflict-induced
  • Health: Health crisis-induced
  • Natural: Natural disaster-induced
  • Other: Other crisis-induced

Crisis Name

The name of the crisis or disaster that led to the student being displaced.

Displaced Indicator

Indicates the student was displaced due to a crisis or disaster event.
