The following questions are part of the SCHR: School Characteristics questions for CRDC:

Note: Results for the SCHR: School Characteristics module must be generated at least once for a given school prior to independently generating results for other modules.


 

SCHR-1: Grades with Students Enrolled

Instructions: Check “Yes” to all grade levels offered at this school where at least one student is enrolled on the Fall Snapshot date.

Category Mapping: Grade Levels

Skip Logic: N/A:  All data elements must be answered.

Results & Logic:

Logic

All CRDC Grade Levels will display with results for each grade:

  • Show “Yes” next to each grade level offered at this school where at least one student is enrolled in a grade that is mapped to the CRDC Grade Level.
  • Show “No” next to all grade levels at this school where no student is enrolled  in a grade that is mapped to the CRDC Grade Level.
  • Only report students where their enrollment is in the school being reported or the School of Accountability field is set to the reporting school.
An override column will be next to the results with a droplist next to each grade level that can be set to Yes or No.

Detail Report Logic will display the following information:

  • NCES School Number, School Name, Students PersonID, State ID, Name, Grade Name and CRDC Grade Level.


 

SCHR-2: Ungraded Detail

Instructions: Only for schools/justice facilities that are wholly ungraded. Indicate whether the ungraded school has mainly elementary, middle, and/or high school students on the Fall Snapshot date. 

  • If the school had a combination of mainly middle and high school students or mainly elementary and middle school students, mark "Yes" for both grade levels.
  • If the school had about equal amounts of students in all grades, mark "Yes" for all three. 

Category Mapping: N/A

Grade Levels: Ungraded

Skip Logic: Skip for all schools that are not wholly ungraded. Do not skip if question SCHR-1 has Ungraded grade level = Yes and all other grade levels are = No.



 

SCHR-3: School Characteristics

Instructions:  

  • Indicate whether the school is considered eligible in any of the categories listed on the Fall Snapshot date.
  • For magnet schools and programs, count only programs or schools that have a written mission statement with the explicit aim of preventing minority group isolation.

SCHR-4: Magnet School Detail

Instructions: Only for Magnet schools. Count only programs or schools that have a written mission statement with the explicit aim of preventing minority group isolation on the Fall Snapshot date.

Category Mapping: N/A

Grade Levels: All Grade Levels

Skip Logic: Skip for all schools that are not Magnet school. Do not skip if question SCHR-3 has Magnet School  = Yes



 

SCHR-5: Alternative School Detail

Instructions:  Indicate the type of needs of the students the alternative school program is designed to meet on the Fall Snapshot date. 

  • If a school serves both students with academic difficulties and students with discipline problems, select "Both".

Skip Logic:  Skip for all schools that are not an Alternative school. Do not skip if question  SCHR-3 has Alternative School  = Yes
