Object Triggering Logic

This table describes logic for triggering syncing of this object.

Post

When an IEP is created and locked for a student.

  • IEP must overlap an enrollment. Only 1 record will report per school year.
  • If the student has multiple enrollments that are overlapping in the same school and year, report based on primacy of Service Type:
    • P: Primary
    • S: Partial
    • N: Special Ed
  • If the student only has one enrollment, report a record regardless of Service Type.
  • Do not send a student record for an enrollment that is marked as State Exclude or No Show.
  • Do not send a record if enrollment is in a calendar marked as Exclude.
  • Do not send a record if enrollment is in a School marked as Exclude.
Post

When a new enrollment is created for a student that has an active IEP.

  • Enrollment start date must be after IEP start date.
  • IEP end date must be NULL or after Enrollment start date.
Delete/Post

When any field part of the natural key is changed:

  • When a SPED Setting is changed in an existing IEP, and is re-locked).
  • When a SPED Entry Date is changed.

School Exclude, Calendar Exclude, Resource Toggle and Resync Logic

This table describes the School Exclude, Calendar Exclude, Resource Toggle and Resync logic of this object.

NoneIf a resource is toggled to 'OFF' after data has sent, all sent data will remain in the ODS but no new data will send.
ResyncIf a record is in the Ed-Fi Identity Mapping table and not in the ODS, it will be deleted from the Ed-Fi Identity Mapping table.
ResyncIf a record is in the ODS and it does not have a matching record in Campus or the Ed-Fi Identity Mapping table, it will be deleted from the ODS.
ResyncIf a mapping is changed in Resource Preferences, a resync will need to be done to reflect the changes.
ResyncIf the Student Special Education Program Association is toggled off, do not delete records from this resource in the State ODS when resyncing.

  3. If 'Entry Date' is NULL, use the following logic:
    • Look at all calendars for all grades within student's enrollment history to verify first locked reported IEP of IFSP. The date reported should be the start date located in the Education Plan editor for both the IEP and the IFSP.
  4. Report within the fiscal calendar 07/01-06/30.

    • If NULL, report End Date as blank.
  2. If a new enrollment record is created that does not overlap the IEP, do not update the endDate.
  3. If the enrollment is deleted, the end date reported would revert to the value saved in the previous (overlapping) enrollment.
  4. If a previous year's record was closed without an end date and the school year has changed from the year that the record was created, do not report.
  5. Report within the fiscal calendar 07/01-06/30.
