Report Logic

Records report based on the dates and Type of the student's IEP.

  • First, the logic looks at the IEP with the earliest Start Date within the school year. A record reports for any exemptions marked as Y based on existing exemption logic if the Start Date falls within the extract reporting window.
    • Exemptions are when a student is marked as excused from any Assessment Area on the Statewide and District-wide Testing editor including Reading, Math, Writing, Science and Social Studies.
    • For this record, if IEP is marked as Initial or Annual Review, reports the Meeting Date. If IEP is marked as Transfer, reports Transfer Date. If IEP is marked as Amendment, reports Start Date.
  • Next, the logic looks for any plans prior to the reported plan. If the student has a previous IEP, the logic compares current exemptions with the most recent previous IEP (date considered is based on the type of the IEP, as described above). If there are any exemptions marked in the previous IEP that are not marked in the current one, a record reports as N for each exemption.
  • Finally, the logic looks for any plans after the earliest IEP in the school year. If there are subsequent IEPs, exemptions are again compared and records report for any differences.

If the district has configured a vertical reporting connection with SameGoal, all fields report from SameGoal rather than from documents created in Campus.

Enrollment data reports from the most recent enrollment with a Service Type of P or N.

  8. Click Generate Extract to generate the report in the indicated format or Submit to Batch to schedule when the report will generate. If generating multiple extracts at a time (after Campus.1921), requests can only be submitted to the Batch Queue.

Users have the option of submitting a Student SPED Graduation Requirement report request to the batch queue by clicking Submit to Batch instead of Generate Extract. This process will allow larger reports to generate in the background, without disrupting the use of Campus. For more information about submitting a report to the batch queue, see the Batch Queue article.
