The Foster Care tool is used to indicate whether a student is in Foster Care. A start and end date is associated with each instance of a Foster Care record. These records are not tied to student enrollments or calendars.
Overlapping records are not allowed.
The state of Idaho has not defined fields that are specific to the state, and no state reports include foster care information. Districts may use the Foster Care module to track Foster Care data if desired.
