The Release Score option allows teachers to schedule when assignment scores are released to students and parents.
Score release settings are established on individual assignments from the Release Scores section of the Section Settings area.
Release dates can be managed anywhere teachers can access the assignment editor (such as the Grade Book, Planner, Progress Monitor, or Assignment Overview).
By default, assignments are set to release scores on Save, making them available to students and parents immediately.
If desired, teachers can select a date and time at which scores will be released.
This allows teachers to score assignments over time and make all scores available at the same time.
Release scores may be particularly useful with tests or essays that may take longer to score.
Scores that have not yet been released are highlighted in blue.
Hovering over the assignment displays the release date and time.
Assignment scores can now be entered into the score field without releasing them to parents and students.
Using the Grade Calculation toggle, teachers can view All Scores or only Released Scores.
When Released Only is selected, teachers can view In-Progress grades as currently shown to parents and students.
If desired, teachers can release scores prior to the release score date and time by clicking Release Scores.
After clicking Release Scores, all entered scores will be released once saved.
The Release Score tools can also be accessed from the Scoring Editor.
The Scoring editor is available in various places in Instruction, including the assignment editor, the Progress Monitor, and the Curriculum List.
Scores from multiple assignments can be released from the Curriculum List using Release All Scores.
All scores, flags, and comments that have been released can now be viewed from Campus Student and Campus Parent.
Using Release Scores, teachers can schedule when assignment scores are released to students and parents.
